think and respond (cowboys)

1. How does Leedro and Larry solve problems during the spring roundup? they figured that the cattle would be under trees since there was a drought.

2. How does the photographs in this selection help you understand what happens on a cattle roundup? the pictures help me a lot and with out them would be hard to understand. it wont be that realistic ether.

3. to write this story, the author rode with cowboys. what message does she share about this experience?its really tough rough and stinky!! >_< (well i added the stinky part...) it would be very hard to herd 800 cattle in a few days!!! its a very hard job!

4. what would you enjoy most about becoming a full-fledged cowboy and working on a cattle ranch? what would you enjoy? you know everything about being a cowboy! but you have to be serious. i would enjoy...hm mm...i think just being with a horse and enjoying yourself!

5. what reading strategies helped you understand the selection? well i looked ahead when i did not understand it.

busy kids or should i say business book? think and respond!!!!

Why did the kids set up the business? Because each of the kids have a propose about the jobs. they also wanted some more money too.

In the case studies, why did the kids start particular business? some of the kids already knew how to do things like do bracelets and magic tricks. they would probably need help with the things.

what are the things you would do to plan your own business? i would have a fair price if i were to sell something. i would try to plan everything perfectly and if i were to help someone doing something i would help them the whole time.

what are some risks that the kids faced that they needed in running there business? they had to work really hard and if they had to go somewhere it would be hard to stop because your having so much fun! ^_^

what are some of the productive resources needed to run the various business?

what is a profit? it is a income for the business.

what happens when an entrepreneur does not make a profit? oh no! everything will go so bad! the income won't come and they would probably go out of business.

stargirl is one of my fave books! here are some pictures!

these picture is stargirl the book and you should read it its so good, anyways the picture is stargirl and leo they fell in love its a very good book

think and respond...a do it yourself project.

#1. What did Mari learn by taking part in and winning this contest? she took time in her project and asked for the paints which was a big help. then when she sees  or hears about someones project all of the energy dyes down.

#2. How does Mari feel about herself at the beginning and at the end? in the beginning she was happy for her self and she planned it out in her head. then at the end she was happy she won 1st PLACE!

#3. What is the author's message about being dependent on other people? how do you know?you want to relay on someone...right? i am always dependent on people. i know the message because the author was making Mari look like a big happy person in the beginning but when she was listening to the classmates talking about there projects she was sad. i don't really know how i know.

#4. How do you think teachers should judge students' projects? and list at least two suggestions. because they have an eye for detail (if they did it by there self or not) then the teachers know if they had a LOT of money or not so much.

#5. Which reading strategies did you use for these selection? WHY?well i did use one i payed close attention and WHY because if you did not pay attention then you would not get a good grade! =^D
